This was taken in the garden outside my friends wedding ceremony in Bedfordshire. It was taken on the 1960s 35mm and the black and white film gives the picture a 60s/70s feel, which is enhanced by my friends splendid beard. Despite the monochrome, the main subjects make this photo feel very warm.

Not my shot, but I saw this on a ‘photos of the year’ review and fell in love. It was taken on an iPhone by someone flying over Florida during the final space shuttle lanch of Endeavour. Simple and beautiful.

A partially illuminated Millbank Tower at dusk. I love the way the orange of the street lights mixes with the twilight blue of the sky. If I was in a band, this would be our album cover.

The Victoria Tower of Westminster Palace on a crisp December morning made me feel extremely patriotic.
